Walking Water Science Experiment

                      Walking Water Science Experiment

Hi I am in room 18. Last week we made a science experiment called walking water.  This is how we made it. First we got some plastic clear cups . Next we filled every second cup with water. Thirdly we added food colouring into the water. Then we folded some napkins and put them into the cups. This is the outcome of the tissue papers.

Honey Rice Bubble Cake

Hello,
Yesterday we made Honey Rice Bubble Cake. We made the cake because we wanted to use the honey we got from the honey bees that we have at TAPS. Another reason was we also had to do measurement with baking . We also learnt about volume  capacity Time and temperature with baking. Although I didn't help with the baking I saw  it. The cake was scrumptious. It was a really nice experience.

Room 17

 Here is a video.
This year I am in the enviro class ( with Mrs Picard , she is a very nice teacher.) I am lucky that my two best friends are in the same class as me! In room 17  we get to look after chickens, chicks and we also get to hatch some eggs. It's so awesome. We also had visitors from Te pahu school they all were year threes. We also got to go on a trip to lake Nagroto I like the enviro class very much

Spooky Forest

We are using images to help us create powerful sentences. Here are some of my best powerful sentences.

Trees rustle as they try to push each other away. Mist covers up the forest like a blanket. Dark gloomy trees haunt the spooky forest. Lush green leaves moan and groan as they try to wriggle free.

Athletics

Yesterday we had our athletics day. My favourite event was long jump, because I had to jump and I love jumping. My furthest jump was two metres and 4 centimeters. I was really proud of my jump. Afterwards we all had a second go. Unfortunately my second jump was not that good. My jump was 141 cm. I thought I could of done better. It was fun. I wanted to do it again and again but it was time to move on to the next rotation. Well there is always next year.

Tug o War

DSC02011.JPG

Yesterday a big mystery came into our room. The mystery was packed in an old box. Then Mrs Ellis walked across the room to see what was in the mysterious box. Suddenly . . . a long thing came out of the box.! To me it looked liked a long anaconda snake but it really was a ... tug o war rope. Everyone gasped at the sight of the tug o war rope. " Lets measure it ", exclaimed Mrs Ellis. So we ran outside. It was really fun measuring the rope. First we took a guess of how long it would be. Next we used a meter wheel to measure it . The length of the rope was 29 meters and a half, so we decided to round it up to thirty meters. Then it was challenge time we all decided to play tug o war. I pulled really hard. Our team won both times. Victory for us! I love tug o war.
